In light of a conversation starting on #ja, I have decided to start a thread to contain my rantings and ludicris ideas on life and the world around us. View this post at your own risk!! --------------------------------------------- Dreams... we all have them. Some people cant remember them, but we all have them. They are essential to our existance. Dreams are a by-product of our body's regeneration process that happens when we sleep. It is essential to our survival and our growth as humans, to dream every night. Just because you dont remember your dreams, doesn't mean you dont have them. Have you ever had a dream about a situation that hasn't happened yet? Something simple, like getting mail from an old friend you haven't talked to for a while, or something more complex like about your later-life? Have you ever dreamed something and then it happened? (not deja-vu, but a pre-cognitive dream about a situation) I think everyone has had this happen atleast once or twice in their life. The more you WANT to become aware of your dreams, the more you will be able to control your dreams, and control your destiny. Try this experiment: Before you goto bed (on a night that you can sleep in the next day) set your alarm for 3 hours and 30 minutes from the time you goto bed. The 30 minutes is to allow you to sleep, and the 3 hours is the first 2 cycles of sleep (into deep sleep, REM state and back out). Put a notepad and a penicil next to your bed. All ready to write down when you wake up. Before you sleep, think about something you want to dream about. Pick an adventure for you to go on. Plan to dream about being a Jedi Padawan and heading out to the outer rim on a reconnisince mission. Then lay down and focus on that. Think only about being a jedi, and going on your mission. Keep thinking of this until your fast asleep. When you wake up, grab your pencil and start jotting down just some ideas about your dream. DONT take too long, be awake for only about 2 minutes tops. Then turn off your alarm and go back to bed. When you wake up, read what you wrote, and see if you remember more about the dream now. See if the dream has now become a memory and a part of you. Try this for 2 nights in a row (on a weekend maybe) and tell me what your dreams are about. You wont nessisarily dream about what you wanted to, but write it down anyway, that is part of the test. See what your brain ended up coming up with when your sleeping. I look forward to making this a good thread to follow. -Huxley |

It's really fun indeed. In fact, there's an entire web site dedicated to the art and fun that is known as lucid dreaming  http://www.ld4all.com Good stuff, good times. Speaking of which, I've pulled it off once, but I haven't tried too hard since then. I realized, I punched everyone in the face that was in the room. I heard my alarm ring as I mumbled in depression and headed back here to RL™. Hi here's some KAtarn knowledge *tosses Wisdom* Katarn wisdom 5# This is a rare occurence (see below) but when it happens... Your dreaming..and you go "WTF! this isn't real i'm dreaming" but you feel and see like it's real. This awareness gives you full controll on what you want. Being aware of the fact that your dreaming is sOOOOOOOO great. don't concentrate too hard on what you want or the dream world becomes vague/ or worse you wake up. Don't even think about nightmare things or bad thinks or they will appear..and you'll have a hard time waking up in a nightmare you know is a nightmare. Waking up with a real stabbed feeling in my back was my worst experience ever..I had a realistic nightmare of being on a battelfield..maybe it was a echo of the past..anyway..it was scary..Not being able to wake up for some time when i wanted too. Try jumping or pinching yourself sometimes helps. However i also had some very pleasing aware dreams (like flying through the air and stuff. _______________ The dark side is for the weak, for they could not resist it. The Katarns rule! |

lol you can always ask us for help  dreams own! just recently i dreamed that i was a giant! it was so cool. i was walking around the earth, stepping over hills and picking screaming people up from the streets. then suddenly my sister appeared out of nowhere and was walking around with me. i think i got to a small airport on some island somewhere when suddenly my sister disappeared and one of my friends appeared. we started talking about this and that and suddenly i shrank back down to normal size. then my stupid alarm clock went MEEEP MEEEP MEEEP MEEEP MEEEP and i got really pissed at it so now i need a new one lol  _______________ make install -not war This comment was edited by Bubu on Nov 04 2003 03:16pm. |

Heh...I had a simple, easily understood dream. I have an assignment I need to finish for computer electronics...and...I don't fully understand it yet, so I'm going to have troubles. Last night, I dreamt that I started working on it and...the questions were whacked... "Phobia rock daddy" was the one I stared at for a minute. It wasn't even a question. The funny thing is I TRIED to figure it out. I even started writing out an equation to solve "phobia rock daddy." I was beginning to understand it, then..."WHAT THE HELL IS PHOBIA ROCK DADDY?!" *wakes up* What the hell? LOL. It was amusing, but just proves my fear of the assignment...I need it done tomorrow and I don't understand it. _______________ Wanna know what my name means? Peralos Ale'Velkyrii: Perilous Drunken Angel, or PDA for short. Perilous, because I'm bound to get into fights I can't win. Drunken, because ALE! Angel, because a valkyrie is basically an angel of Odin. I'm here to send you to the afterlife, but I can't gurantee I'll be stable enough to win a fight.

I have trouble getting to sleep. I mean REAL trouble. hours and housr of lying down uncomfortably. But the dreams i do have/remember go asomething, like this; I usually run and run and run, but get nowhere. Like trying to run undrewater. Very hard on the legs. Sometimes something will chase me and I can't move. The only other dream I have is this really strange thing that I can't explain very easily. But I'll try my best. It starts off that everything is scratchy and hard and rough and loud. High walls of blackish whitish colours. Screeching high piched painfull nioses are the only thing to hear, but it's deadly quiet at the same time. It's like my footsteps echoing. Tall tall taaaaalll people, just completely blacknessly. Like big dark shapes. Giant things swinging about.There are also these inpenaterable wall type things that I know I have to go through The other half is really smooth, and everything is easy and under control. And no, I'm not making this up to get attention like some stupid people do. I have real trouble sleeping and I'm always tired. I NEED TO FIX THAT! |

You know whats worse though? When SleepyD treated everyone like that he was kicked, banned, treated like shyte. But it is okay for Zero, then to publically critisize the JA as a Trainer? If the JA Sux, then it is negative ppl like you that make it that way. Great Role Model there....... Zero - you were wrong, too! I had this funky-ass dream that I was fighting in some kind of trench battle. Everyone had rifles and such, and there were bombs going off everywhere. So i'm running through this trench, and I bump into my brother, and he has this massive rocket strapped on his back, and he suddenly just takes off, waving at me. F*cking scary stuff! uhhhhh i dreamt last nite that... uhh *thinks* NOO IM BECOMING SMART!! okay i got that out of my system so uh here we go.. i was in the army (in a future war where there were lasers and stuff) and i was with my best friend and all of a sudden he was on the ground dead.. i checked on him and i realized that he was sniped all i had was a machine gun type thing and charged forward and was killed like my friend so thats it.. lol the future will bring us all doom! uhh i don't know where that came from.. _______________ Axion - Yeah. |

I had a dream, I think it means something, but I'm looking for the meaning. Heres the dream: Im standing in a building with windows. My girlfriend is standing maybe 10 feet in front of me, facing the window and looking outside, her back to me. I walk over to her, pause about a step behind her, and then put my arms around her.
