Questions on mapping...

Hi all,

I have two questions about mapping. The first is quite simple, but something that isn't working for me. Tutorials tell me to use ctrl+shift+click or ctrl+shift+alt+click to select a single face of a brush. However, my editor does not respond when I try this. How do I select a single brush face? (I am using GtkRadiant 1.4.0).

The other question is about shaders. I have created a texture with an image and a transparent background. I can use it ingame, but since I am applying it to a brush (which is a cube and has six sides) I see my image six times. How can I make it so that I see it only once?

Thanks in advance for reading this. :)

Hehe, yeah, it is fun creating shaders like that. I am actually just toying around trying to improve creating on shaders. :)

Thanks for the (rapid) response, Degor, it's much appreciated. :) Pressing F didn't actually work, but I was smart enough to check the manual for the list of keys. I managed to 'apply a texture to a face', but ctrl+shift+leftclick still doesn't work, which is odd.

In any case, I managed to create my shader properly now using the 'apply texture to a face' tool. It is a flickering neon image for a Las Vegas style map. I have also created an Elvis Presley advert :D

To select a single face, select the brush, press F and then click on the face you want.:)

For the second question I don't know that but you should ask sete he helped me a lot. :)
