For me and everyone on the Northerly reaches of this world, that means it's the longest night and shortest day of the year. I'm going to a Solstice celebration tomorrow night. Hot cider, hot chocolate (Master Luke Skywalker's favorite beverage  ) and some good cold Wisconsin beer later on. It's a celebration that we've made it through the darkness and can look forward to the coming brightening and lengthening days.
And of course for those in the Southerly reaches of this planet, it means that Summer has peaked and we start trading our darkness for your light, one day at a time. May good fortune shine upon you wherever you are this Holiday Season! _______________ American dollars are worth less than Imperial credits. |
