I know this isn't necessarily Academy news, but we're all nerds here and as such are contractually bound by the Nerd Code to go nuts over anything to do with the Matrix.  Sit through until the end of the credits at the movie for a little suprise. I've got my tickets for a 10:00 show tonight already. I can't wait! ARGH! I wish I had seen this post BEFORE I went and saw the movie... so I missed the little tidbit after the credits. But since I've already seen the movie, could someone tell me what that little surpise was in an e-mail or something? =p And yes, the movie was absolutely, positively, (as my friend put over and over and over) "TIGHT". Nice long actions scenes with lots of variety, instead of those crappy short-and-sweet action scenes you get in a lot of movies. Definately worth seeing. |

Well, the problem was that all the matrix-geeks expected to go in and get a healthy dose of sci-fi wisdom that they could cream their pants to, and all they got was a lot of fighting and various mumbling about "fate" and "destiny". They don't realize that the "cool story" was laid out entirely in the first movie, and that 2 and 3 are just about finishing the story. Harry Knowles, that f**ktard who runs aintitcool, actually got press time from CNN talking about why the movie sucked. They treated him like he was credible, or something.
