Howdy folks! The four words you've been waiting for are here: Knight trials are open! You must be reccomended for a Knight position by an Instructor or Council member before you can take any tests. People get reccomended based on their attitude. This means that those that act poorly on the server, attack without warning, etc will not be eligible for Knighthood while the ones that are well behaved, encouraging, and well disciplined will be. We've designed the test and trial for Knighthood to be rather difficult. For those of you groaning in the back row please keep in mind this is a school. You're here to learn, and the rank you earn should reflect what you know and have learned.  If you can't answer a question on the trial test that should be a hint to practice more and take more classes!
Lately we've been getting many reports about a lax of respect on the servers. We have a few solutions for that:
Other things we've noticed are alot of students rushing to get trials when they clearly aren't ready for them. If you have any doubts about your ability to pass a trial or answer an exam question then please save us the trouble of having to trial you. Again this is a school. Take classes and learn stuff before you try to prove what you know to us.

I have a post that is completly unrelated to this, but i just felt that it has some SOME relavance... Read it, and if you dont get it, read it again... then complain to me if i should take it away, or just ask DJ/Doobie... cuz they know they can *note, this was in response to the question, are you guys a clan?* there are many clans within the academy. I am starting to belive that The academy is not a clan or a klan, or a cult... but a community. Think of it as an olden style town. In this town, there are 3 different types of people. The elders (council), the parents (JAT's/JAStaff), and then the children (JAS/JAK). While the parents may be doing their own thing with the elders (meetings), the children are all out having fun. While some children hang out toghether (Clans = gangs?), there may be some who are not part of these groups, who are just friends by themselves. These children who are not part of any clans/gangs/cults, are the people without any tags other than (JAS) or (JAK). To be part of this community/town, you do not have to be part of a clan/gang, you just have to be helpful to people, no matter who they are, and nice to everyone, from the academy or not. What I am trying to get at, is that the academy relies on respect and friendship. Without these, the academy would be non existant. I dont know if people like the ideals of communism, but in the ideal communism, people are equal. If the academy was perfect, it would be more like the ideal communist town, however it is not yet perfect. Therefore, it is stuctured more like a democrocy, or monarchy where people can advance (not anarchy >  ). This is to help everybody. The rules would be enforced, and everyone would be or is happy.

Howdy kids, it's your friendly neighborhood Arcuss again. I just wanted to share some pearls of wisdom with you all. In your journeys to becoming JATs,JAKs,and even JACs, always keep in mind that each of these ranks come with a certain amount of responsibilities. Make sure that you are prepared to assume theses responsibilities before you apply for a higher rank. The ranks are more than just tittles of prestige, higher rank=more work. Always keep the Academy's purpose and needs in mind while you're thinking about how COOL it would to be a Knight,Trainer or Councilmen.

(including meself, hehe) and thank you ulic for all your help and great mentoring! it is highly appreciated. *bows* and grani, sorry i haven't been around lately, busy with some issues on my home planet (i wish i could just train at the JA all day long... *sigh*), the thing is we are being invaded by an army of tuskans and i gotta help protect our women and children. anyway, when you need me, nagging (and bribing lol) always works... anyway you seem to be on top of things so i'm not worried about you. only one thing to say, and i'm sure ulic would agree: patience! don't rush into anything, take it slowly but surely, and you will make it far! anyway.. this is becoming a long post and it's getting dark, and besides, i've said "anyway" one too many times, so i better get back to the ship before those tuskans get here.. *hologram fades out and disappears* _______________ make install -not war |

OK, I am leaving praise here for those that helped in my training for Knight (I just need to make appointment for trial)
This stuff is hard, and these are some of the guys that gave me a run for my money: Grani Salos Xantanash Eljeton Quicksilver Those who want to see more Knights should thank these guys when you see 'em, since they make such things possible. Also, I realized that if everyone helped each other like these guys, we would all be awesome Jedi. So, even if you aren't up for Knight, help each other out! So, thanks to all, and I hope to serve you all, and the Academy, when (and if) I make Knight! _______________ Jedi do not fight for peace. Ok, about the discipline thing. I don't think the JAT's do unreasonable. I was at a server at saturday and I wanted a trial. Before you know it a few students go hopping about and disrupting everything for 20 minutes. And JJ and Huxley handled it perfectly. They didn't ban immediatly. So, JAT's shouldn't always be seen as bad guys!!!!!! They're cool, and usefull to for trials so that are 2 very postive things for them. Thats very good to hear. The academy is great now, but improvements are very welcome. I, for one, am happy to hear that attaining the rank of Knight will be much harder than the other ranks. Since mentioned I've thought the rank of knight, if only by title, should be more prestigious and harder to attain. So thanks for the news, and all of your work to keep the academy a fun place to play. Even if that means sitting on IRC for 3 hours... poor poor council.
