Yeah, what it says... is anyone into Kendo? Or an other martial arts? I was playing with the idea of giving it a try. Did some Teak Wan-Do (dont blame me for a wrong spelling) but it was kinda boring. Kendo is with swords... sounds cool :D

i would say the best martial art is Hockey fighting! the trick is to punch the opponent more than he hits you! and for the locking moves and stuff! the pull the shirt over the head move is very useful and quite fun to! (if its you who does it:D)

I started with Tae Kwon Do got about halfway to blackbelt (one of the midlevel colored belts, don't remember which), but it's more of a martial sport than an art. I switched to Kuk Sool Won, another Korean martial art, but more complete. That is it had more than just strikes, it involved falling, throws, joint locks and pressure points (:D) but then I went to college. Now I take Ninjutsu (Read: Ninja! w00t!) and it is (in my opinion) better than any other martial art I've taken. It involves all the strikes, joint locks, falls, throws and whatnot of the others as well as incredible basic movement economy and efficiency (none of the rigid moves, all natural and flowing as your body allows). More than that the basic offense/defense strategy is something i haven't even heard of in any other art.(incredibly nifty, but hard to explain) And finally: weapons. Weapons are taught almost from the begining :D starting with staffs of varying lengths, then moving on to swords, chains, sickles and similar things, shuriken, naginata, and a plethora of other uber-cool weapons. Ninjutsu Rules :D And So do swords!
Woh PA! Ninja agile!;)

We need more fencers. Just make sure you start with saber. (I do foil, I love foil, but foil isn't going to protect you in RL and it never teaches you to parry right)

It's all about the flow of energy, which is why meditation and stuff really play a big role in it. The martial art itself is really cool. It focuses mostly on takedowns and throws like Judo, except it also deals with swords, daggers, and staves. Sadly, it doesn't encourage sparring with other partners and I thus ruled it as utterly useless. :D

Me never disses Aikido :P Aikido seems more like a religion and meditation method to me than martial arts. That's not bad though.

Aikido is cool. You be dissin' Aikido, G?
Actually, to be perfectly honest, if you were bored of Tae Kwon Do, you'll likely be bored to the point of fatality should you do Aikido. It's still cool though.

I've always been interested in taking kendo or some kind of sword lessons... Unfortunately, I've never really had the money or the drive to get on it. I'm very lazy!
