Brought to us by FaDed: Mission Statement of the JASE The purpose of the Jedi Academy Society of Excellence is to recognize individuals who are striving for excellence within the Jedi Academy. Students selected into JASE are highly respected among the JA by both students and trainers alike. Their job is to help, teach, and maintain. JASE students are always available if a student has a question or if a trainer is in need of an assistant. JASE students are knowledgeable and can share their knowledge in a clear, precise manner. JASE students are aware of student activities and will promptly report any violation of JA rules after negotiations fail. JASE Organization I. Founder A. Oversees all JASE activity B. Has final say in all JASE related matters II. Co-Founders A. Assistants to the Founder 1. Advise and participate in all major decisions B. Oversee and run all Commitees 1. Select and organize commitee members III. Commitees A. Selection Commitee 1. Organize and run the selection process 2. Evaluate students 3. 5-10 Commitee members B. Reports Commitee 1. Read and archive all student reports 2. 3-6 Commitee members IV. Students A. Active members of the Jedi Academy B. Submit weekly reports JASE Rules 1. Follow all JA rules 2. Adhere to the JASE Code of Honor 3. Always tell the truth 4. Take responsibility for actions 5. Be on time to appointments 6. Make and keep promises 7. Respect students and trainers 8. Always more praise than critique 9. Do not brag or boast 10. Take suggestions with gratitude 11. Be open to questions 12. Know the answer 13. Always strive to become better 14. Be active in the Jedi Knight community 15. Continously train others 16. Always seek to develop relationships 17. Be skilled in all weapons and game modes 18. Develop a specialty 19. Just to reiterate what I already reiterated, this is an UNOFFICIAL group run by students for students. The administration is only offering help getting it off the ground, nothing more nothing less. Don't get your panties all in a bundle, if you don't like it you don't have to participate, and don't need to be afraid that JASE members will have some sort of official function in the JA: they won't  _______________ -Academy Leader/Dictator/Defeater of DJ Sith and JACen Solo in the JAK+ Tournament -I do think it (the JA) will help convert dozens, maybe hundreds, to the dork nation... --me |

ONE FINAL REVISION: The Voting requirement Feedback is in and processed. You all had different opinions on what the Number of Votes needed to be to be a JASE member is. We felt the best way to do this was to take every number given and do an average. The average came out at 15. The new number of votes you need to become part of the JASE is 15 -DM- _______________ One Day, it will all end. |

Just so everyone knows, the last of the feedback that we have received has been implemented. JAK/T/C are no longer required to vote for a student to be accepted into the JASE. The new criteria for acceptance is: To become part of the JASE, you must receive: 25 Positive Votes from your fellow JA Students, Thanks to everyone so much for your feedback and helping us create this. I think it's much more complicated than it needs to be right now, but I don't really mind the concept. If you can explain it to the common JAer a little better, I think you will have a lot more success. All the negative posts here, including one or two of mine, are due to miscommunication. I'd like to apologize for jumping to conclusions. Oh! Ok. After reading Rogue Lord's comments I think I see now what you JASE guys are getting at. Guess I look at it this way: if you attend a school with a million billion students, you might find it difficult to get noticed...sure. Grouping together like-minded interests and individuals (even within a common interest membership like ours) is one way to rectify this. The way I felt I could do something here in JA was help initiate the Holocron. So, yeah, I understand where some of you guys are coming from. Whelp, I think I better understand the situation now. I can see some of the reasons for those going against it, but I fail to see that if it is implimented _correctly_ how it's going to hurt anybody else. JASE dead?= Gonna have to get thru me 1st theres some of you out there who want to be apart of this, if you do apply, if you dont, ignore us, i wanted to start this for nothing but good intentions, not to undermine u JAK's, i have no problems with any of you, faded and moby have worked hours on this, as you can see moby did a great job on the site, faded of course came up wit this and spent hours changin things, were changin things as i speak, so the JASE will go on and is changing things, look for updates soon _______________ Come on now, every Generation X boy wanted to be Luke Skywalker. Is it because he was a whiney farm boy from some backwater hack planet? No, it's because he was a FREAKING JEDI. He could block lasers with his lightsaber. HereS my 2 Cents even if its too late to help IF there is anything that this fast paced forum has clarified 4 me is that there are Sum people/students who are finding it hard to be noticed around the academy (I know I felt that way for awhile). I think that was the only good part of the old point system, is that you could work toward your goal of KnighT (or whatever) w/o having to try an force yourself on people who maybe have 100 other people trying to be their friends. That’s one reason why I always try an dual with the new students an make them feel welcome (right MOBI )Sooooooo when I saw FaDeD, ProD an MobilitY starting the JASE I wasn’t surprised at all an I even thought that this is a good way for people who might never get a chance at being a Knight, Trainer or whatever to get some recognition from their fellow students THIS SHOULD BE A GOOD THING right…? Anyway I hope u guys keep the project going but I agree with WHOever said “ try an keep it simple” (at least at first) an if the counsel has given it’s blessing the rest of us should at least give ya a chance an wait to see what happens (we can always bash ya later LOL) An just to clarify my first point July 29th will be my 1 YEAR anniversary at the academy an I feel only slightly closer to being a knight an only a lil closer to knowing the JAC’’s/JAK’s BUT im not blaming anyone for that, ALL of the KnighTs do lots of work around the academy and put in lots more time then I do on the servers/chats/forums so I feel that they have Earned the TiTle. Soooooooo in the end im still very happy its been a great year here and my dualing/ffa skillz are better then ever (an I love to go on the public servers just to prove it heheheh) and the JASE should only enhance the AcademY <anyone who can live up to that Code of HonoR gets my respect> u go GUYZ _______________ NONE SHALL PASS He welds the blade of a FalleN HerO, but now he is the HerO, and it is others who shall FALL....
