I was wandering around Star Wars forums and found a "If youhad the choice, would you really choose to be a Jedi?" forum. Seen some interesting posts on both sides. So.......Would you or wouldn't you? and why. Interesting to think about. I think ultimately I would want to be a Jedi. The Sith and Dark Jedi although they can be powerful at times, cannot match up to a good Jedi who relies and uses the force for guidance, wisdom etc.. Not a Sith who uses the force for personal gain, power etc.. SO yeah, I like the Jedi views and if I had the chance, I would choose to be a Jedi |

Out of all the Jedi Anakin Solo is/was my fav. His whole life he always took more agressive view of the force. Not a dark side type view, just not a passive one. Instead of shy away from the things that were said to lead to the dark side he would run towards them and confront them. That way when he emerged from it, he was stronger for it and had more of an understanding of it. Yoda said "Fear leads to the Dark Side." If so, then why did the Jedi order FEAR the dark side. What they feared was that their own will and control wasnt enough to counter their deadliest opponents....Themselves. I would be like Anakin. You become stronger thru experience, not hiding from what you fear. never reallly thought about that and yeah i guess you are right, anakin solo in many ways was better than anakin because he was able to confront his problems without ever having to go to the dark side (anakin skywalker never had to go to the dark side) i agree wit u |

I don't know if we need lightsabers and starfighters in order to appreciate some of what being a Jedi is in star wars. I'm not saying i or anyone else goes around in a robe talking about one all powerful force, or that anyone should, but there are certain ideals that don't require a mystical energy field in order for you to be true to them. It has a lot to do with mentality, just like many other spiritual, religious, and philosophical beliefs.
