I converted my .mp3 into 112 kbps 44 khz, if i write into the console in the main menu /music music/landos_palace.mp3 it plays but in my map it doesn't and it says: "unable to find music "music/landos_palace.mp3" as explicit track or dynamic music entry!" Do you have any idea?

instead of saying music/landos_palace.mp3 try doing music/landos_palace since default is mp3 it might be thinking the music file is music/landos_palace.mp3.mp3

Ah it is working now. Do you know a program, which can increase the mp3's volume? Because it is very quiet.

Oh, sorry, must have missed this...

Stuff like music and textures and the like will only work if they are in pk3 files.
So if you want to test your map and it's music, you will need to make a pk3 out of the music file.

So make a folder inside your music folder and call it something like "mymap", then put the mp3 in there. Then just make a pk3 of the whole thing (music/mymap/musicfile.mp3).

It should then work. :)

This is a map he made, and so he is probably running it on his own computer to test it. In which case he is the server. :P

Try changing the value from "music/landos_palace.mp3" to just "landos_palace.mp3". In other words, drop the reference to a folder called music, as the engine may be looking in the folder music for a subfolder also called music. If this doesn't work, try putting the .mp3 in a subfolder in the music folder like "/landos_palace" and refering to it there. And if that doesn't work, try putting it in a .pk3 with the structure "/music/landos_palace/landos_palace.mp3". Hope that helps. :)

Music only works if the server has the music uploaded.

Quote:
If i do it with a base song it works:
key: music
value: music/bespin_streets/bespina_action.mp3
and if i do it with my music:
key: music
Value: music/landos_palace.mp3
it still doesn't work. I had put it into gamedata/base/music, it is wrong?
I tried with "" but radiant didn't save it.

Yeah, best not to put them in. Sorry for not being very clear about them.

As for the music, it should be right, but try putting the music folder into a .pk3 file.

Did you put quote/speech marks in when making the map? If so, that could have been it.

If you have a certain option (which I forget) set to 0, then this will happen.
