Sometimes, when you start the game up after a while, binds may disappear. To make sure you wont lose any binds, please take the following steps: /bind p messagemode3 After a while, this bind may get 'lost,' I don't know why, but it happens To be able to restore your binds, I recommend you save your settings by doing:/write jaden.cfg Ofcourse, 'Jaden' can be replaced with any name you like. After having this typed in, your settings will have been saved to the JAE folder. The next time you connect to the Academy, simply type: /exec jaden.cfg This will restore all the settings you have saved earlier. (The /bind p messagemode3, as an example.) The middle link, the mouseover shows Classes and underneath it The Holocron, click The Holocron. There is a list of items to read. That intro I linked you to was just my intro I wrote a long long time ago. If you look under the table of contents, the Holocron has the different tutorials. Jaden you can also unbind a letter on your keyboart. to unbind... type in... /unbind(space)w(enter) /write(space)(your name).cfg(enter) If you are on WP you can type in console /aminfo(enter) You will see now the Emote Access. Dont forget when you are ready with your bind always save your bind with.. /write(space)(name).cfg(enter) When you wanne use the same button for a other bind , you can overwrite these. dear everyone - thanks so much for all of your lovely comments! <And Janus, especially, please excuse me for not writing to you sooner - I didn't make it back to this site or the academy as soon as I thought! I have been practising my wall runs, and have discovered a few other much needed moves as a result of your instruction! Could you possibly remind me of the article I need to read? I have forgotten!> I want to say thanks to everyonE for making me feel welcome, it really does make a difference. It's my own fault for hanging out on some "tough" servers, but I have had a rough time from some more expereinced players out "there" in the JA universe, and the warmth and genorosity I have experienced here means a great deal. However, i seem to have a prediliction for conflict, and appear to still be spending far too much time on servers where I am, frankly, out of my depth. Somebody else was showing me some basic Scissor type moves - to my shame, I can't recall if it was one of you! But I've been practising, and am getting it - unfortunatly i am a bit of a slow learner and my discipline is not all it can be. But with such a warm surportive attitude at the academy, I hope to transform into an honourable and more precise student! It was nice meeting you today, I'm glad we got to share some lessons and basics. You're a patient one with the need to will to keep trying no matter what. Next time we meet up, we'll go over some of the staffing basics. Hope you're having fun with the wall runs and maneuvers, an old old older member of the JA Aphex is, was, and will ever be the most agile out of all the members I've seen. He was an inspiration to be quick, light on your feet, and flashy in show for jumps, wall running, climbing, and making one look good in the air. You take care, and we'll see each other soon.
