I created my own picture. I took an in-game screenshot from my character, cut it and implemented as a layer. With a little tweaking, i created this image. I hope you like it :). If you need any help on creating your own, just give me a shout.

where did you get your profile pic?

Just saw you posted this on Maher's profile, and thought I would let you know that he hasn't been to the forums in a long while.

He made his avatar. He took a picture of his in-game character, and applied it to a background he made, as did myself and a lot of people here do.

It's that unlikely anyone will regularly come back to your profile specifically to read responses to one of the many comments they have made throughout their time here. It's a lot easier for them if you respond on their profile!

Also, if the subject has not changed, there is no reason to requote the entire comment line. At most, you only need to quote what is immediately relevant as well.

It's rather ludicrous to have a thread with a huge scrollbar and a large amount of content that is mostly filled with very large and repetetive quotes of previous comments instead of actual discussion!

i'm looking for a master so if you have any idea how to help me get one, just comment on my page :)

A lot of people ask for a master and the majority do not get one. Many go inactive expecting to be assigned a master, but the fact is that the only person who can get you a master is you. Your master is your friend and that is something which takes time. Becoming their padawan asks a lot in the way of patience, commitment, attitude and willingness to learn/open mindedness.

You could spend a few days, to a few weeks, to a few months, to a year searching for a master. Many will appreciate that kind of commitment though. Remember, however, that a master is not always necessary. The academy offers weekly classes, servers where you can train and ask for help, a chatroom if nobody is on the servers (give people at least 10, maybe 20 minutes to respond in chat because while they usually respond sooner, few will respond if you only give them 30 seconds to a minute before leaving), a holocron with (slightly outdated but relevent) information, an archive with user-contributed information and some forums.

When looking for a master, you will find that most will ask these from you:

Activity

There is no point in training you if you are not going to play the game. Many people would rather get to know you well before commiting to teaching you and activity will be important in that. Getting to know people, visiting the servers, chatting on IRC, posting on the forums will all get you noticed.

You need to be active so that you can learn things and practice them as well. You actually need to be able to spend the time to do it. You won't be expected to just abandon your training, either. You are a project for your master, so don't disappoint them.

Attitude

You represent your master and your attitude needs to reflect something they could be proud of. This might vary depending on their personality, but a calm and respectful attitude is well regarded among many.

Do yourself a favour and don't mask your feelings or pretend to fit any of these requirements though. You should rather change yourself to fit requirements like this in *everything* you do, than simply pretend to over the internet. Nobody will be impressed to discover that their padawan is someone completely different out of the game, so be honest.

Willingness To Learn

Regardless of how well your attitude is, the most important of all is that you show that you have learned well. While it is up to you what you do and you will most likely adopt some of your teachings without realising, nobody wants to teach somebody who doesn't work on everything they are taught. Training can involve regular whole hours (when is convenient for you) just training an exercise or set of exercises and actually making an effort to practice and include your teachings into your play style, even if just to test them out. Keep an open mind, though.

Some may ask for a willingness to learn and to accept teachings always, but on the other hand there may be people who don't mind resistance and questions, but again that will of course depend on the person. As long as you still make an effort to listen and implement your teachings, questions and understanding are not a problem and are perhaps even vital.

Patience

The process of getting a master can take a while, just as improving significantly can take a long time as well, but all of your training will pay off and you will notice that in some way eventually. It's important that you are as patient as you can and can make an effort to tolerate the most frustrating of exercises, fights, attitudes and waiting periods.

Overall, be active, get to know people, present yourself right and you will get a master.

I'm always open to a master if you'd like. I have a few problems though:
- I live in Canada, and we are GMT-5
- I am really new to JK3 and i've completed the campaign and i am now starting multiplayer.
- I live in the country for one week and in town the other, and in the country I have wireless (satellite) internet, but it doesnt seem to connect to ANY servers. so i might only be on every other week.
- I LOVE learning new things and i can't wait to hear from you.

I am back to 'business', slowly getting back to shape, so I decided that in order to improve myself, and also to help someone else, I am looking for an apprentice and/or sparring partner.

I already have two padawans, however one of them went MIA and the other one visits just very little, so it leaves me with no-one I could teach on regular basis. Which is why, I am making this post.

Please bear in mind I've started to learn how to teach others, for this experience will be most likely as new as for you to learn something. It should benefit both of us.

Requirements:

Friendly Attitude
Patience
Willing to learn - mainly yellow style / to have fun
Timezone does not matter: I am able to play from 9pm till even 5 am if you wish. Timezone GMT+1 - as long as you fit into times I mentioned, you are fine!

I'd really prefer some newbie or inexperienced player, as I actually want to teach you something, but as long as you meet all previous criteria and want to spend time with me... post in my profile. :)

I'll want to get to know you first, I have to see you active on the servers, to avoid the situation of training with you few sessions and then seeing you disappear, but ones who are true to learning, having fun and being patient will do just fine. :)
